Stop At: Gregory Lake, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
Gregory Lake is a serene environment, complete with a stretch of green grass and grazing horses where countless visitors go to unwind. Here, along the lake you will see groups either enjoying a family picnic, riding horses, on a paddle boat or taking a leisurely stroll. One of the main attractions in Nuwara Eliya, Gregory Lake was built by Governor William Gregory between 1872 and 1877, in order to utilise the water from the Nanu Oya which runs across the town. It is said that the lake was used for water sports and recreational activities during the British period.

Stop At: Hakgala Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Hwy, Hakgala, Sri Lanka
Hakgala Botanical Garden is one of the three botanical gardens in Sri Lana. The other two being Peradeniya Botanical Garden and Henarathgoda Botanical Garden. It is the second largest garden in Sri Lanka. The garden is contiguous to Hakgala Strict Nature Reserve in Nuwara Eliya. The garden is believed to be the highest set botanical gardens in the world. Hakgala Garden was established in 1861 as an experimental cultivation of Cinchona, a commercial crop thriving at the time in Nuwara Eliya. Once after the Tea replaced the Cinchona, it was turned into an experimental Tea cultivation in Nuwara Eliya. In 1884 it transformed to a garden and since then many sub tropical and some temperate plants were planted in the gardens.

Built by British servicemen in 1889, the Nuwara Eliya golf course is exceptionally beautiful. At the base of Mount Pidurutalagala in the heart of tea country of Nuwara Eliya, it features fir lined fairways, bunkers and scenic surroundings.
