Meet your guide at your Colombo hotel at 7am for a 12-hour day tour of Galle,

Bring an enchanted boat ride down the lovely Madu River, a wetland estuary spreading more than 900 hectares of which 770 hectares is secured with water and possessed with 64 islands. The watercraft ride is a magnificent approach to investigate this perplexing wetland biological system; a world legacy site ensured by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands being one of the last wetlands in Sri Lanka to contain a perfect mangrove woods.

Finally we take you to a leisure stroll in the best preserved colonial fort in South Asia; relive a 500 year old history, be captivated by the glorious past!

This magnificent piece of architecture, a UNESCO World Heritage site was initiated by the Portuguese in the 16th century, seeing some of its best days during Dutch rule in the 18th century, until the British took over in 1796.

Watch the radiant working with its old stone dividers, the ramparts, Dutch colonial villas, the clock tower, the Old Dutch Hospital, Dutch period houses, the delightful Dutch and Reformed Church, thought to be the most established bread natural product tree in the nation.

The interest about the Country Side is that it is a living chronicled site and not simply one more all around saved bit of engineering. The Country Side covering 52 hectares of land is one of the busiest places in Galle with a multi-ethnic populace living inside its dividers. Stroll around the old town and the bulwarks; visit the Maritime Museum, Country Side Temple, Antique shops, Country Side Mosque and the numerous inns and eateries around. Appreciate the wonderful perspective of the Indian Ocean over the fort walls.
