Enormous rocky wilderness of Pidurangala is the next of 8th Wonder Sigiriya Rock Fortress that shared their both history at once where switched up positions to hermitage to a kingdom when it was time to build the kingdom on Sigiriya Rock. The wilderness monastery was shifted to Pidurangala wilderness rock where situated just beyond Sigiriya just away few kilo meters. Present day Pidurangala Monastery is one of the most exotic destinations in Sri Lanka rarely people are visiting but wonderfully great place to feel the authentic essence of history of Ceylon. It’s a temple and a caved monastery hid in the jungle of Sigiriya.

Climbing the Rock Fortress Sigiriya “The 8th Wonder” where you count average 1200 steps to 660 ft that a palace was built on rocky citadel surrounded by thick jungle. Sigiriya Rock Fortress is the authentic marvel of Lankan skills that a Citadel built over 200 M top of the rock with amazing Infrastructures, Entertainments, Wall Frescoes, Mirror Wall, Rock Pools, Water Gardens and Royal Buildings renowned as the 8th Wonder and accredited as UNESCO World Heritage.

Flood Plains or Kaudulla Wildlife Jeep Safari

Sri Lanka is fortunate for one of highest Wild Elephants populated countries and most amazing scenery of these giants are located in Minneriya Flood Plains where 50 to 700 herds of elephants are naturally roaming on the grassland of Flood Plain form the jungles. Also constant habitat of other animals are living in the flood plains and the jungle such as Foxes, Wild Buffalo, Wild Boar, Dear, Elk and Leopards too. The flood plain is itself a Bird Sanctuary too. Safaris are well organized with trekkers and Jeeps are the safari means.
