Day 1: Negombo - Nuwara Eliya

Stop At: Pedro Tea Factory, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
Visit the Pedro Tea Estate. Situated about 3.5 KM east of Nuwara Eliya it is accessible by vehicle. Visitors can visit the Tea estate from morning up to 12.30 p.m. and again after 2.00 p.m. At Pedro Estate factory you will be shown the full process of how tea is manufactured and then graded and packed for export to all corners of the world. The Pedro tea estate is located in Central Sri Lanka at close proximity to Nuwara Eliya and is located on a landscape with the blue sky as the background with green pastures of tea and water falls cascading, which is a sight never to be missed.

Stop At: Gregory Lake, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
Gregory Lake was build under the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. This is one of the most prominent attractions in Nuwara Eliya. Holiday makers can enjoy a leisurely walk on the paved walk ways, with swan shaped paddle boats for the more adventurous. There are pony rides round the lake for the kids and even adults, with plenty of fast food stalls located in a separate area where one can enjoy a meal or a snack.

Stop At: Victoria Park of Nuwara Eliya, A5, Nuwara Eliya 22200 Sri Lanka
The Queen Victroia Park is located by the Nuwara Eliya City center and one of the must visit attraction. This park was named to honor the 60th Jubilee Coronation of Queen Victoria in the year 1897. Originally the park was the research field of Hakgala Botanical Garden. It contains a lot of colorful flowers, and very nice places to enjoy and relax. It also contains a playing area for kids, and a train tour for adults too. This place is famous for bird watching and there are large verities of plants and trees available. victoria park come alive with the flowers specially around March to May, and August to September.

Day 2: Nuwara Eliya - Kandy - Negombo

Stop At: Ramboda Waterfall, Pussellawa Sri Lanka
The 111-metre high double fall is born of the many convergent brooks in the area that flow into the Puna Oya Reservoir, a tributary of the Kotmale River. It is above 3200 feet above sea level. The first part is above the road and is in the jungle hidden from view, second part is close to the road and the third part is below the road. To see this falls take the Gampola-Nuwaraeliya Road. It is located 1.5 kms from the highway and 10 kms from Pussellawa Rest House. The fall can be seen from the Ramboda Bazaar or from Ramboda Falls Hotel. Most relaxed travellers on this route miss this falls as it is located below the bridge.

Stop At: Temple of the Tooth, Sri Dalada Maligawa, Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
The temple of the sacred tooth relic or the Dalada maligawa has to be the greatest Buddhist shrine in Sri lanka. The sacred tooth relic is kept inside the room called ‘Vedahitina maligaya’. As soon as you enter the upper floor you will find an elaborative door with gold and silver decorations. The tooth relic is encased in seven gold caskets in the chamber. Two pairs of elephant’s tusks are beside the camber. The gorgeous outer casket is embellished with many stones and gold items offered by various kings. The ‘Perahera karnduwa’ (relic chamber) used in the ‘Esala perahera’ is on the right side. So many devotees and pilgrims have worshipped the temple every day. Rather than that the temple of the sacred tooth relic is a place where you can experience the Sri Lankan culture at its best. Though Kandy is a UNESCO world heritage site the Devala located at the opposite of the Dalada maligawa is an edifice made for next Buddha to come to the world. You can see the taxidermied remains of the famous tusker raja which carried the Perahera karanduwa for over 50 years.

Stop At: Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya Road, Peradeniya 20400 Sri Lanka
As Sri Lanka’s largest garden an elegant and spacious 147-acres (60-hectares) plenty of time is needed to stroll Peradeniya’s imposing Avenue of Royal Palms. There are some 4,000 different species of plants at Peradeniya Gardens. The 10,000 or so trees, which are the stars, are mature, lofty giants, many of them tropical timber trees. Highlights of the collection include the Giant Bamboo of Burma, capable of growing to 40 meters height (130 feet) with a 25-centimetre (10-inch) stem diameter. And it can grow by a rapid 30 centimeters a day (12 inches).
