About this activity
Day 01 - After arrival at the Katunayake International Airport. ( If requested ) Our guide will then drive you to your accommodation next to the ocean in Negombo. Check in at hotel and relax by the beach of Negombo.
Day 02 - After breakfast, you can lead the road to the mountains. On the way, the luxurious Sri Lankan landscapes pass before your eyes: rice paddies, coconut plantations and mountains. As an option, you can make your first stop on your way to Pinnawela at the spice garden and proceed towards the Millenium Elephant Foundation, a center that takes care of the elephants. You can spend the afternoon in the hotel and enjoy Ayurvedic therapies (therapy sessions not included). 
Day 03 - In the morning, Explore the city of Kandy for a city tour, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square and a Gem Museum. Afterwards, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
Day 04 - In the morning, we suggest a visit to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens located on the banks of the Mahaweli River. It covers an area of 60 acres, and counts about 10 000 trees and plants of 4000 different species, offering a beautiful walk of about 2 hours. 
Day 05 - Fun day in the tea plantations, enjoy a tuk tuk safari through the tea hills, paddies and surrounding forests. You will stop many times to admire the spectacular views. Walk or continue to ride all the way to Haputale, a small hill town with magnificent views of the mountains and valleys. 
Day 06 - Leave the green tea valleys behind to reach the dryer wilderness zone of Udawalawe National Park. At 3 PM, go on a half day jeep safari in the national park, a unique eco-tourism hotspot famed for its vast elephant population, spotted either on the banks of a lake or in the dense jungle.
Day 07 - In the morning, road to the south coast of Sri Lanka, the most beautiful coastline on the island. On your way, visit Elephant Transit Home. Next, arrive in Talalla, a palm-fringed coastline of golden sands and crystalline waters. 
Day 08 - You can enjoy massages, yoga and meditation session, but also take a surfing lessons with one of the hotel instructors. Simply relax and enjoy the tropical sun and breeze. Don’t forget to taste a freshly grilled fish in one of many local seafood restaurants.
Day 09 - After one more swim in the Indian Ocean, explore Galle and its colonial era fort built by the Portuguese and declared UNESCO World Heritage site.Take a break and enjoy a refreshing coconut drink, Tambili. The bike tour will take about 1h30min.
Day 10 - Depending on the available time, you can go for a city tour of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s main metropolis bustling with lots of activity. End of your journey in the pearl of the Indian ocean...

  • Most Museums are closed on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays. Colombo National Museum is open all 7days a week except on public holidays.
  • Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political actions and unrest shall be borne by the tourists.
  • Poya holidays are observed on the day of each full moon. In general, Hindu and Buddhist festivals are declared according to local astronomical observations and it is often only possible to forecast the approximate time of their occurrence at short notice. On such days of religious reverence selling alcohol in public is illegal. However, at certain hotels the room bars remain accessible.
  • A number of smaller hotels or restaurants do not have liquor licenses. In most cases you are allowed to bring your own.
  • Programmes, prices, services and conditions are based on those valid at the time of proposal submission and are subject to change thereafter without advance notice until all services have been paid in full.
  • We strongly advise to leave valuable items (money, passport, credit cards, jewelry, sensitive documents, laptop computer, etc.) in the hotel safe. During excursions and roundtrips, personal belongings, especially money and valuables should NEVER be left on vehicles, even during short breaks, and carried around at all times.   • Due to ongoing rapid upgrades/developments of roadways and highways in Sri Lanka the times mentioned for transfers may take longer than estimated.
  • While driving overland, a short stop every 2 ½ hours is required by law in order that the driver can get a short break.
