This was a perfect end to our Copenhagen trip for some of the attractions we hadn’t yet gotten to. Henrick Peter was our guide and he was so knowledgeable about the history and all the sites. I can’t imagine anyone being better. He certainly made our day exceptional. In fact at the end my husband thanked me for booking the tour. We did have some inconsiderate people in our group and he handled everything very graciously.

Our tour started with our hotel pick up...on time...the bus/van had capacity for 18 people...we had 16 people on this tour. Great guide, very informative. It seemed like we were always 30 minutes ahead of the large bus tours which gave us some great photo opportunities without huge crowds around...I'm so glad we took this tour....plenty of time to see a lot of sites plus you get a good lunch at a very nice hotel just outside Copenhagen.

This tour had many of the sights that I wanted to see in the area around and outside of Copenhagen. It turned out to exceed even my hopes and certainly my expectations. Our guide Nicholaj was absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable and funny with all the interesting facts and insight. The itinerary was well paced and well planned. It was a lot for the money, and I heartily recommend this tour.

Benji was an amazing guide. He is friendly, knowledgeable, patient and incredibly accommodating. He has a plethora of knowledge on his country and its history. Really glad I decided to take this tour because we were able to see so much in just one day!

We had a great day visiting some incredible castles and getting to soak up a lot of the history and culture of Denmark form our tour guide Robert. I maybe wish we had seen a few more things in town as there was some beautiful churches and palaces in Copenhagen but definitely more than e could have seen in a day tour regardless.

Great tour to see 1 cathedral and 2 castles in 1 day. Minibus is new, comfortable, and clean with USB chargers and bottle waters for everyone. Tour guide NaiWai Yu did good job driving, guiding, explaining Danish history. It's 10 hours from pickup to hotels drop off, lots of walking. Frederiskborg Castle is gorgeous and big, suggest pack lunch or buy quick bite at nearby stores rather than having sit down lunch.

The sites are definitely worth visiting, but time wise is a bit tight. T he guide recommended eating at a cafe where we get a 10% discount with their company. But eating there, it is very busy and we had 2 hours for lunch and to visit Frederiksborg castle and gardens. Took about 30+ minutes to eat, and about 5-10 of that was actual eating, rest was ordering/waiting) left us with less than 1.5 hours for Frederiksborg Castle. Strongly recommend packing a lunch and going to the Gardens first, then the castle. We quickly walked through the castle and did not have time for Gardens. Guide also walked very quickly (somewhat understandable as the tour is rushed) but we had older people who are able to walk just fine, but just not at his pace so we were left behind. Frederiksborg Viking stuff Kronborg/Hamlet Castle Roskilde Cathedral, but time wise they spent too much time at Kronborg and the cathedral IMO.

A special thank you to Margret! Our tour was simply amazing! Expect to see a lot and be emerged in the history of Denmark's Kings and Queens. Day started with a punctual pick up at our hotel. The Mercedes-Benz bus was very comfortable and we enjoyed our small-group of just 15 people. I highly recommend this tour for its uniqueness of beautiful Castles and Cathedrals you will visit.

this was a great day trip for my wife and I. We had a great guide, Svend Erik, who kept us happy with his stories and jokes. I especially enjoyed the Roschilde cathedral where so many of Denmark's Kings are buried. We learned a lot about the craziness and genius of Christian IV. I also loved the Viking ships! Hamlet's castle was also a great stop. To see the place where so many famous actors and actresses learned their trade was impressive. it was the best tour of our vacation.

Excellent day trip. Henrick was a walking history book of Denmark. Be prepared to walk a bit but it is worth every step.

My friends and I enjoyed the tour very much. Eric came earlier than scheduled to pick us. Throughout the day, he gave very useful information on Copenhagen; it’s history and successful cancer research. He enlightened us with interesting facts about Copenhagen and its history. His knowledge of the various places, Viking museum, Fredericksburg Castle and Kronborg Castle was remarkable. I was enlightened! Kudos to Eric!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Erik as our driver and Henrik as our guide. Henrik is most informative, with obviously an impressive background - he is currently writing his second book on the Danish during the Second World War. We had three major stops and a couple of bonus ones in between. Our first was Roskilde Cathedral, which happened to be closed due to a public holiday (we were already told the day before it would be closed) but this was ok - we managed to go inside anyway as a certain section was open and had a brief walk around. Frederiksborg castle is kind of the Scandanavian equivalent of Versailles - rich and impressive. Prior to this we had lunch (at your own expense) in the town. We were suggested a cafe, but there were other cafes and options to choose from in a good part of town. Our last stop was my favourite, Kronborg castle, the "to be or not to be" setting for Hamlet. I enjoyed this because our guide was allowed to accompany us and had so many interesting facts to tell. Erik and Henrik have a great partnership, and it was interesting as well talking to Erik who was also well informed on all the stops we went to. Our guides also attended to us during the trip, making sure we received our lunch on time and that we were able to get seated at the cafe. They also provided umbrellas (which we needed), water on the bus and a good little readable guide on the bus (I really appreciated reading this for the historical short cut version of each place before we went). I am so glad we booked this tour. We are going on a Baltic cruise tomorrow and I was a little concerned that a huge full day tour might be a bit tiring before heading on our cruise (which is full of prebooked tours) but actually we felt quite the opposite. It was the best way to get out of the city and see the famous landmarks of Denmark without much effort. Some tips: Unfortunately the weather was very cold, windy and rainy (just one day before summer, I think the temperature would have been less than 10 degrees in some places) so it's advisable to bring a waterproof and warm jacket and a scarf. i would also suggest wearing long pants - I wore a dress and not only was it cold, but the wind is quite strong around the areas. Also an absolute must is to wear sensible walking shoes (ie sports shoes). The tour is based on Copenhagen's famously uneven, large cobblestone streets and feet will feel it. We had a wonderful day and highly recommend booking this tour!

It was a very informative tour. Appreciated seeing a large area outside of Copenhagen that included the two castles and the church. Lunch spot was good. The day was somewhat rushed as I feel maybe tried to cover too much terrain. Maybe do only two of the three sites. Just an idea. Guide was great!

Didn’t know what to expect with the tour. What we received is tour on the outskirts of Copenhagen along with Denmark national history and pride of country. Our guide Nickoil (Nick) was great. So versed in Danish heritage and history. As he should be. Nickoli has served in the royal guard protecting the queen. As has his family has for several generations. His grandfather was a resistance fighter during WW 2 including assisting in the relocation of Danish Jewish population to Sweden prior to Germany occupation. Highly recommend the tour. Be aware there’s a fair amount of walking on cobble stones and lots of up and down stairs

If you want to learn about the history of Denmark then this is the tour for you. We had an excellent guide in Henrik from Hamlet Tours, a history buff by his own admission, who gave us facts, anecdotes and even jokes. Frederiksborg Castle was an amazing place but if you want to see it all give lunch a miss. There just isn't time for both. You could spend a full day at most of the places we visited but not sure if you would get the same out of it by doing this yourself. Having a guide who knew his stuff made the day.

Our guide Margaret (from Hamlet Tours) led us on an interesting and informative tour outside Copenhagen. At beautiful Roskilde Cathedral, we visited the burial sites of numerous kings and queens, and learned about the importance of their reigns. The nearby Viking Ship Museum showcased hands-on demonstrations and displays of early viking vessels. Ornate Frederiksborg Castle contains amazing works of art. Finally, walking about Kronborg Castle showcased the fortress used to defend against nearby Swedish invasions. We especially appreciated pickup/dropoff at our hotel in Copenhagen.

Our full day tour of Copenhagen was excellent. The tour was small - 15 people - the guide spoke excellent English and ALL the major points of interest were covered. We loved the tour.

All that was promised was delivered. Our guide went into the Viking museum, Roskilde church and Kronborg castle with us. At Fredricksborg castle we were not escorted by our guide and the time allotted was to be divided between having lunch and seeing the castle/museum. I would recommend not having a sit down lunch (as delightful as it was) as it does not leave enough time to enjoy the castle/museum and the castle grounds. I hope the tour operator will consider a guided tour of this castle museum as the audio guide provided by the museum was not user friendly.
