About this activity
Depart from Seville in the morning and start the 1,5-hour drive to Cordoba. On the way, stop by Carmona in the countryside of Andalusia region with stunning views. This place holds great history as many civilizations had lived there and left visible marks.

In the 10th century, Cordoba was the biggest city of Europe, having nearly 500,000 inhabitants. It was home to Romans, Moors and other civilizations. Explore Cordoba as your guide tells you stories and facts about this beautiful city. The historical centre was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1984. The Roman Bridge, Torre de la Calahorra, the streets of the Jewish Quarter, the Synagogue, the Sotos de Albolaifa are just some of the few attractions you will see during the tour.

Visit the mosque, which remains to this day an important gem of Islamic art. Inside the mosque, visitors may have a complete audio guide in whatever language they require so that they can get a real sense of the surroundings.

After the walking tour, you will have some free time to have lunch, to go shopping or enjoying just before heading back to Seville at the end of the day.

Flavio was a great guide who really helped make the most of the tour with interesting background and cool tidbits in Cordoba and on the way there. I had a great time.

Highly recommend taking this day trip to Cordoba from Seville. The only thing that dampened our trip was the rain - but the tour can’t do anything about that... amazing experience!

We booked and paid for this tour much before, and booked with hotel pick up/drop off. Just the day before I got an email and later a phone call giving us a new pick up time some 10 min. walk away from the hotel, and then even after we were dropped off at the same place. The bus arrived some 10 min. late, luckily it was a nice day. From then on it was a nice day overall, visiting some really fantastic places like the moskea turned chatedral. On the whole ,we would have given 5 star.

The tour was ok. It was good that we were a small group of five because you can interact much better with the guide questions and answers. What I didnt like very much was that even though lunch was not included you were taken to a specific restaurant and were suppose to have lunch there. And we spent too much time at the restaurant instead of using that time to visit the mosque. What was really good was the guide Carlos who knew a lot and was very passionate on everything he explained! I thought the tour included a guided visit of the mosque, it didnt. All you had was the audioguide.

Carlos was absolutely wonderful. we were not sure if the day was to be 8 or 9 hours but turned out to be 10 1/2 hours which flew by. He broke up the trip to Cordoba with a stop for fresh made street Churros in Carmona. He weaved a story of history and culture and added current events. He was totally knowledgeable on so many subjects. This was a wonderful wonderful day, Our travel companions agree. Thanks Carlos Cary and JoAnne Levy,

Mesmerizing Mezquita catedral. Beautiful Cathedral Mosque with stunning architecture. All the tours we had taken during this trip to Spain was so good and well organized kudos to Viator and their network of agencies in this case Naturando. I must say again the tour guide Javier made the day with his wonderful insights of history and was very impressed the way he managed the tour and keep all of us attentive though we had a varied and diverse group from middle age to my young son. Thanks Viator and Javier for making this tour memorable
