About this activity
Day 1: Today, from Cork city you will visit the world famous Blarney Castle. In the afternoon the tour travels into west Cork to Join the Wild Atlantic Way. Today’s activity will be a gentle hike along a beautiful trails in west Cork, to get you warmed up for the adventures ahead.
Day 2: You will wake-up in the heart of West Cork to the clear air blown in from the vast Atlantic Ocean. In the morning you will enjoy a coastal cycle in the heart of west Cork. In the afternoon you will visit the magical Garnish Island and gardens.
Day 3: Today the tour crosses from the Rebel County of Cork into the Kingdom of Kerry. You will hike in Killarney National Park through ancient oak woodland and after you will take a beautiful boat ride through the splendid Lakes of Killarney. Tonight you are sure to enjoy the craic in Killarney town.
Day 4: Day four begins with a cycle around Muckross House and Gardens the tour then travels west from Killarney between the Atlantic Ocean and the rolling Kerry mountains. We will call to the salty fresh-air playground of Inch Beach. If you fancy the surf then you can take a life affirming plunge in the Ocean. Then you travel to An Daingean, Dingle. In the afternoon there is a great trip around Slea head.
Day 5: The tour travel northwards to the Banner County of Clare, where you will hike along an awe inspiring path to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Then we visit the Burren, a World Heritage Site and a close by megalithic tomb older than Egypt’s pyramids before we march from the Banner County in to the City of the Tribes, Galway.
Day 6: From Galway we travel to Connemara to catch the ferry out to Inis Mór- the largest of the Aran Islands. We will cycle through beautiful scenery to the Iron Age ring fort, Dun Aengus, perched on the edge of a 300-foot high cliff. This is a really special day with amazing scenery along the entire route. 
Day 7: From Roundstone we will further explore the magic of Connemara. You will travel under the Maumturk Mountains the Twelve Bens and pass along the most spectacular of Ireland’s three fjords, Killary Harbour. Today's activity is a hike on one of Connemaras many hills. In the evening the tour enters County Mayo. At Doo Lough, we will take a breather and perhaps remember the unfortunate famine victims who walked the same route over 170 years hence, before ploughing on and finishing in Westport.
Day 8: Today there is a great cycle along Irelands original greenway cycle route. There is also a treat or two in store on your route back to Cork to the finishing point of the best Adventure Holiday in Ireland.

  • As well as your normal travelling attire the following essential gear will be required:
  • Walking boots.
  • Comfortable trainers/runners.
  • Comfortable and breathable outdoor clothing, including shorts, swimwear, trekking trousers, fleece and hat.
  • Gaiters & walking poles (personal choice but recommended).
  • Cycling shorts – these are not essential.
  • Good quality waterproof jacket and trousers (preferably breathable).
  • Day-pack/rucksack, water bottle.
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent.
  • Medication – ensure that you inform your guide of any medical conditions or special dietary requirements. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know so we can make every effort to accommodate you.
  • While there are no restrictions on size of bag or number of bags, we ask you please consider what you pack. Bring the essentials and enough for you to enjoy the trip but do not over pack. As a guide we recommend you keep your baggage to one standard size suitcase and one carry on suitcase.
