About this activity
This tour is different from most taking you away from the crowds and chaos so you can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the sea.
* 4.5 hour tour from the time we pick you up until we return you
* A botanical tour is included as you walk from the parking area to the dock pointing out the various fruits grown in this region
* All equipment needs are provided with quality masks, fins, snorkels, snorkel vests, and back rests
* Lunch with a beverage is included
* Small groups with a maximum of 10 guests ensure you receive a personalized experience
Starting from the dock you will paddle through the mangroves completely enveloped in its beauty. Out to the barrier reef you will anchor your kayak and begin the snorkeling portion of the tour. This area of the reef is home to many unique lifeforms, octopus, schools of squid, conch, giant starfish, lobster, eels, sting rays, turtles and so much more.
Once you return to the dock, lunch will be waiting for you and then back to your location. We aim to leave you with fond memories of our island and this beautiful reef.

- You must be reasonably fit for this tour. The Snorkel Excursions require medium amount of physical effort which includes paddling, walking, climbing up/down stairs, and swimming.
- You will not be able to participate in the excursion if you have a heart condition, extreme medical needs, or limit in mobility.
- We do not have any means to accommodate ADA. Our tandem kayaks have a capacity of 425 pounds. If you are traveling with someone else and your combined weight exceeds this total, you will require single kayaks. Please make note of that on your reservation form. Ages 6 and up are welcome on the kayak tour.
- Upachaya works closely with the Roatan Marine Park to insure our tours are eco-friendly and support a healthy reef system. We use quality equipment and the staff is CPR and Water Rescue certified. Service and safety is upper most in our minds to provide our guests. We ask all our guests to refrain from touching any of the marine life. They are living, breathing entities and they deserve our respect. Your finger oils could kill them, or you could get stung.
