Stop At: Parque Chordeleg, Juan Bautista Cobos 23 de Enero, Chordeleg Ecuador
Your driver picks you up from the departure spot given by the operator in Cuenca and then the tour begins with a transfer to the town of San Bartolome where you visit its church, central park, a typical house of the area and its gardens with medicinal plants. Here you can taste a cup of coffee or aromatic waters, accompanied by the "delicados", a bread made from brown sugar. During this tour you observe the production of straw hats and you visit a small workshop of guitars.
You also visit the Chordeleg, famous for its handicrafts in gold, silver, filigree, wood, ceramics, etc. You will visit the main square and have time for shopping.
Continuing with the tour, you will go to the canton of Gualaceo, where you will visit two markets: fruit and typical food. You will have lunch in a beautiful old hacienda. The tour ends with a visit to a craft workshop where they make the famous "Macanas" or shawls, typical dress "Chola Cuencana". Artisans will explain the process of making these beautiful and unique fabrics.
