17-Day Highlights of Peru Tour Including Amazon Jungle and Sacred Valley and Lake Titicaca with Inca Trail Trek

About this activity
DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN LIMA You can relax before the tour begins or enjoy the sights of the city.
DAY 2 to 3 - AMAZON JUNGLE Flight from Lima to Puerto Maldonado. You will be transported to the jungle lodging and have your first tour. This tour will take you to see the stunning wildlife and nature. Today you will have a nocturnal boat trip. Next day you will visit lake Sandoval and do a short hike to Tambopata National Reserve and admire the flora and fauna
DAY 4 - AMAZON JUNGLE and CUSCO The last tour in the jungle is to visit the clay lick and observe parrots. After this you will return to Puerto Maldonado and take a flight to Cusco. You have the rest of the day free to acclimatize in peace or explore Cusco.
DAY 5 – CUSCO In the afternoon you will take part of the city tour of Cusco
DAY 6 - SACRED VALLEY of the INCAS The day is dedicated to visit the Sacred Valley of Incas and its marvellous sights including ruins of Pisac and traditional market. You will visit the town of Ollantaytambo and explore the temple/fortress and Inca terraces. On the way back to Cusco we will visit Chinchero site and market.
Day 7, 8 and 9 INCA TRAIL TREK - Next three days you will be trekking through the most famous trail in the world (42km/26miles). First day, after a short bus journey, the trek will start. This day is easy with 13km walk which takes around 4½ hours. Second day is the hardest as you climb the highest pass at Warmiwañusca. You will walk around 9km which takes 5-7 hours. Third day you will walk around 15km in 7 hours and pass the ruins of Runkuray, Sayamarca and Phuyupatamarca
Day 10 MACHU PICCHU - You will end the Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu in the morning. Our guide will tell you about the history and culture of Incas. In the evening you can relax in the hot springs of Aguas Calientes
Day 11 AGUAS CALIENTES AND CUSCO - Train from Agua Calientes to Ollantaytambo and from there bus to Cusco
Day 12 CUSCO - You can relax or explore the city by your own
Day 13 PUNO - Puno lies in the shores of Lake Titicaca and you will have time to wander around.
Day 14 an 15 LAKE TITICACA - In the morning you will start an overnight excursion. First you will visit floating reed islands and then continue to Amantani Island. You will stay the night with the local Ayamara/Quechua family. Next day you will visit Taquile Island. You have time to see the way of the life there
Day 16 LIMA - Returning to Lima for a last night. You can explore the city by your own.
Day 17 DEPART LIMA - The last day of the tour. If you want to stay longer in Peru and explore more, please contact us!
