2-Day Huchuy Qosqo Trek from Cusco

Day 1: Cusco - Tambomachay - Huchuyqosqo: We pick you up from your hotel at 07:00 am and headed to our transportation to Tambomachay 20 minutes from our city (3800m) is an Inca temple of worship of water where ceremonies were performed. From here we will begin walking through a landscape of the Puna, pass by pass to Sicllaccasa (4020m approx.). Continuing our driveway which rises along a trail that leads to Ccauca Barranco where we can admire the archaeological remains and wild crops such as quinoa. We continue with the path to reaching another step Queulloca (4185m), where we can enjoy views of a lake with the same name and observe the glaciers of Veronica Pitusiray, Sawasiray and Chicon. Continuing the walk we passed the lake where we will appreciate Queullococha geese, ducks and small fish. Then step right up to the other bearing the name of Challu Challu (4220m). Soon you will arrive to Rumicruz quarter (4230m) to enjoy the Cordillera Vilcanota. At this point we have lunch before continuing on to a stone quarry Inca (4220m), where the stones were extracted to build Huchuy Qosqo. Finally, we descend to the Community Pucamarca (4010M) where we camp, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Huchuyqosqo – Lamay: After our breakfast we take a tour of the archaeological site, and then you depart for a downhill hike of aprox 800mts and 2-hour walk arriving to the town of Lamay, where we wait for a transport to take us back to Cusco End of the adventure.
