I will rate 4 to this tour, because i had some bad experiences. First two days were great. The tour guide, Marco, was amazing. I would have preferred if they had arranged the travel to Aguas Caliente at the end of second day only because 3rd day was wasted coming back to Ollantaytambo just to catch the train. But, when i arrived in Aguas Caliente, there was no one to pick me up. I tried calling multiple times and it was raining so i couldn't go find the hotel either. The tour guide in Machu Picchu was ok. This tour should be 3 nights-4 day tour.

This tour was brilliant except for 2 things one was no one waiting to pick us up at airport when we arrived in Cusco so we had to phone for someone to come . The 2nd thing was the time of our tour to Macchu Picchu we had to be at bus stop for 4am to queue for a bus at 5 30am which took us up to the site to meet a tour guide at 6 15 am our tour lasted 2hrs and as it happened it rained all the time .I think we should have been given a choice to go later in the day as l think it would have been more enjoyable and the weather might have been better .The hotel in both Cusco and Macchu Picchu were very nice and staff were brilliant I would certainly visit again the train journey was great

Nice tour in part but suffered greatly for lack of complete written details, organization and better quality of hotel accommodations. Our tour guide for two days was wonderful, but afterwards was left to be desired, especially for Machu Picchu. Not enough balance for English speaking guests. Had to call agency too much and promised pick up for tours were inadequate or not at all.

The hotel they booked me into in Cuzco was lovely, comfortable, pretty, clean, modern and spacious. The first day involved a bus trip where you get bundled round for 5 to 10 minutes at each of the 4 sites, then 20 minutes in a textiles factory. Disappointing. Guide was rude, unapologetic and responded to every query with This is not a private tour. Second day was a different agency, much nicer, guide was polite, a longer day and we got to spend around an hour at each site. You get to spend a good amount of time in Aguas Calientes at the foot of Macchu Picchu, which is very beautiful, but expensive. You get a full day to explore Macchu Picchu with a guided tour in the morning. The train is nice, great views all the way and free tea and snacks. Our guide for Macchu Picchu was very knowledgable and professional. You can walk back down the mountain path to the town/train station, lovely and scenic, a beautiful riverside walk along the approach back into town. Allow up to 2 hours for this. This tour covers the return bus ticket up to Macchu Picchu so no heavy trekking involved. The guesthouse in Aguas Calientes did not provide a towel, better to bring one with you, especially if you want to visit the hot springs here. The tours are divided between different agencies - there are 4000 different ones in Cuzco. Some are unreliable and may not pick you up when they are supposed to. One left me stranded at the train station. Make sure you have a mobile phone plan and contact numbers for your agency, you may need to chase them every day.

This trip is worth it. However, conde travel needs to be called every day to know what is your next schedule. We never had an orientation for the next 5 days about our itinerary. I was dissappointed with this booking with viator. the trip overall was good. Cusco city tour was not good just a bus tour with no significant stops that are worth it. the trip to Macchu Picchu was good after we saw the place. Definitely worth the bus, train and bus trip. we were never told which train station we were going ahead of time poroy or otaytalymbo/
