Ausangate Nevada Trek & Rainbow Mountain - 3 Days

Day 1: Cusco to Pitumarca

Leaving Cusco early to make the most of the day, after a drive of 3hrs & 30mins you'll arrive at your destination of mt Kesiuno at around 4,200mts, the starting point of your trek. You'll walk until you reach the Ausangate Nevada, around 4 hrs. Here, taking lunch near the laguna at an altitude of 6,000m. Later you'll descend for another 3 hrs until we reach our campsite, where you'll take dinner and campsite is setup. Sleeping at an altitude of around 4,700m.

Day 2: Pitumarca to Rainbow Mountain (mt. Vinicunca) & Red Mountain Valley

Taking breakfast from 6am, you'll then head towards the Rainbow mountain & Red Valley. Trekking for approximately 3hrs 30mins.

You'll then ascend the pass of Rainbow Mountain, afterwards making it to Anantapata for lunch in about 2hrs, where you'll have lunch.

After lunch then heading to Anantapata Tambo, treking another couple of hours, where you'll take dinner and camp is setup.

Day 3: Anantapata Tambo to Santa Elena to Cusco

Taking breakfast at 7am, leaving for the direction of Santa Elena, taking in the last glorious landscapes, you'll arrive at the pick up point where private transport will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. Time in the evening to relax & enjoy the memories of trekking in Ausangate.
