DAY 1. - Our driver will pick you up at your downtown hotel in Cusco at 8:00 am. You will be offered a coca leaf tea to help you adjust to the altitude. Travel to Chinchero's plateaus (45 min) to experience mesmerizing views of snowed sacred mountains, revered by the Incas. Visit with local weavers, their alpacas, and llamas to experience their way of life. Followed by a visit to Moray's concentric circles where the Incas domesticated rainforest plants to make them suitable for the Andes. A short visit to the Maras Salt Ponds followed by a delicious lunch in Urubamba. Visit of Pablo Seminario's Ceramic Shop. Drive for dinner and stay at a local Hotel in the Sacred Valley
DAY 2. - Day to connect to Pachamama, Mother Earth, to meditate and reflect in the flower garden. At 8:00 am please come to the cafeteria for delicious fruits and continental breakfast. At 9:00 Despacho, a beautiful prayer mandala offering to mother Earth with Inca Priest/Priestess. At 11:30 you will participate in a typical Inca meal called Pachamanca. The Inca cooked their meats and vegetables inside the earth. After lunch, transfer to the railroad station & departure to Machu Picchu. Stay at Gringo Bills or similar hotel. Free night to go to the hot springs or to the local market.
DAY 3. - Early departure to the Citadel of Machu Picchu (5 am). Transfer by bus to Machu Picchu (25 minutes). At Machu Picchu, you will participate in a guided tour of the citadel for 2-3 hours. After the guided tour, there will be free time to explore & take pictures. Upon return, you can have lunch at any restaurant you please. Return by train to Ollantaytambo late afternoon and stay at a local hotel in the Sacred Valley. Dinner at the Village.
Day 4. - Breakfast at the retreat center. Visit the Citadel of Ollantaytambo. Built strategically by the Inca Pachakuti to stop any invaders, from getting to Machu Picchu. Guided tour of the sacred site. Lunch on the go. Afternoon visit to the Village of Pisac and it's colorful Andean Artcraft Market and/or visit of Pisac's Sacred Site. Return to the City of Cusco and drop off at your hotel.
