Inca Trail to Machu Picchu Classic 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Cusco - Inca Trail

Wake up early and, after hotel pickup, you'll head for a morning train ride to Km104, where the trek stars. Along the way, you will visit the Inca Ruins of Chacha Bamba. After 4 hours of uphill hike, see the archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna a beautiful Inca Palace. Then, have lunch and continue the trek for one hour to reach the famous Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), where you will be rewarded with the impressive view of the Magical Machu Picchu citadel. After an hour of walking down, you will finally arrive to Machu Picchu, where you will enjoy seeing the site and then take the bus ride to Aguas Calientes town. You'll stay overnight in the town of Aguas Calientes at El Mapi Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco

On your second day, you will see Machu Picchu again and have the opportunity to climb to the famous Wayna Picchu peak or the Sacred Machu Picchu peak for a perfect view of the entire Inca City. Then, you'll have lunch at the town of Aguas Calientes before the train ride back to the Sacred Valley and Cusco, where you'll be dropped-off at your hotel.
