Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Soqma – Perolniyoq site – Chancachuco
Stop At: Catarata Perolniyoc, Urubamba 08675, Peru
We drive to Soqma early in the morning for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, where we are going to start the hike. At this point, we meet our horsemen with the horses, prepare our hiking gear, and have the breakfast. We start hiking through the Perolniyoq valley, small Inca site built on a ridge of the mountain. Once we reach the Inka site, we´ll have an explanation about the history made by our guide and obviously time for the pictures. Continuing with the adventure for about one more hour through the picturesque mountains and valleys, we get our lunch spot.
After 2 more hours hiking, we get the first pass called Kuichicasa (4648masl – 15250 ft.) where you will be amazed by the natural composition, like the Urubamba mountain range, some of the snow-capped peaks and the famous sacred valley. We descend until Chancachuco (4348masl – 14268 ft.) the first camp site.

Day 2: Chancachuco – Ancascocha Lake
Stop At: Dique Ancasccocha, 05610, Peru
Today’s breakfast prepares us for a great day of adventure. We will start hiking in a plain mountain with great views, and get Ancascocha village, the next lunch spot after three hours enjoying the outdoor life. Two more hours hiking and we reach the second camp site, located close by the Ancascocha Lake.

Day 3: Ancascocha Lake – Paucarcancha
Stop At: Dique Ancasccocha, 05610, Peru
We start the day by taking a nutritious breakfast at 6:00 am, then we begin our hike, following the trail back to the highest point with incredible views in all directions, snow-capped mountains and more. After 2 hours hiking, we reached the highest pass on the entire expedition, Wayanay pass (4648masl – 15252ft), with stunning views around it, where we will take our snacks before we get the lunch place. Then, the trail continues downhill until the lunch point for about 2 hours, on the way we will see a small Inca sites, and walk close by some alpacas. In the afternoon, once we enjoy our meals, we will continue our trek for two more hours through the valley of the highlands until Paucarcancha archaeological site, the next camp site (3150masl – 10,335 ft.), in this section of the trail, we will cross over the old Inca trail which is connecting to Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley with impressive glacier peaks beyond. We are going to learn about the history, flora and fauna in this place.

Day 4: Paucarcancha – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
Stop At: Huayllabamba 08670, Peru
We take our breakfast early in the morning to walk to km 82, this section of the trail is part of the Classic Inca Trail, walking by Patallaqta, a beautiful Inca site nestled in the Sacred Valley with amazing farming terraces surrounding it, and other small Inca sites as well. After 5 hours walking down, we will arrive at km 82 and have our last lunch prepared by our chef. Then we drive for 45 minutes to Ollantaytambo, where we take a train from in direction to Aguas Calientes.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco
Stop At: Machupicchu District, Peru
Your excitement for our rendezvous at Machu Picchu will rise as we are driving early in the morning through the forest to reach the site before most other tourists – even the Inca Trail trekkers!! You will have plenty of time to explore this truly magnificent World Wonder while you enjoy the beautiful sunrise from this once-in-a-lifetime viewpoint. Your group will learn about this mystical place in a two-hour guided tour of the ruins. Afterwards, you can opt to climb Huayna Picchu or Machupicchu Mountain (if you have pre-booked tickets) or walk to the Sun Gate (without extra tickets). Lunch in Aguas Calientes and in the afternoon, we take the train back to Cusco.
