Day 3: Chaquiccocha - Wiñaywayna Camp

Stop At: Puyupatamarca, 08680, Peru
Waking up at 6:30 am to begin what is commonly believed to be the most beautiful day of the entire Inca Trail. Inca flat (gradual inclinations) which is also known as the cloud forest. As we walk we will have the opportunity to see the beauty of the Salkantay snow-capped peak and a fantastic panoramic view of the Vilcabamba mountain range. Towards the end of the Inca floor, we begin to climb up to the last peak at Phuyupatamarka (3600 meters) from where we get excellent views of the Urubamba River. At the end of the valley we get our first views of the Machu Picchu mountain, but the site is still hidden from view. From Phuyupatamarka it is 3 hours walking down a flight of stairs to our last camp, near Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young). Wiñay Wayna is the most spectacular Inca site on the trail after Machu Picchu and the most popular camp due to its proximity to Machu Picchu. During the descent we visit 2 Inca ruins, Phuyupatamarka (The village in the clouds) and Intipata (Sun Terraces). We arrive at our camp around 1:00 p.m. for lunch and ready for your last day at Machu Picchu. Your guide will give you a short talk around 4:30 p.m. and visit the Inca ruins of Wiñay Wayna and spend about an hour and a half there.
We like to pamper our guests while we enjoy our last party with the doormen and chefs. It is a tradition of the Inca Trail to organize an evening ceremony to introduce the team to the tourists once again and thank them for the great work done (if you want to provide tips, then you can do it now). It is advisable to go to bed at a reasonable time to get up early in the morning to get to Machu Picchu by sunrise.
Duration: 30 minutes

Meals included:
• Breakfast
• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Camping in Intipata

Day 4: Inti Punku - Wiñay Wayna - Machu Picchu

Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
We will have breakfast at 4:00 a.m. and wait at the checkpoint to be one of the first to start walking when the gates open at 5:30 a.m. We will head towards the Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku). From here we have spectacular views of the mountains and Machu Picchu in all its splendor. We arrive at Puerta del Sol at 6:30 a.m. and then it is only an hour's walk down a stairway to reach the lost city of the Incas. As we approach Machu Picchu, the views of the city improve more and more and at approximately 7:40 am we arrive at the final checkpoint and enter Machu Picchu to begin our 2 hour guided tour. After the tour, you will be given your bus tickets to get off at Aguas Calientes and you will have between 3 and 4 hours to explore on your own. Approximately 1: 30:00 we will meet at a restaurant in Aguas Calientes for our last lunch together and you will be given your train tickets for your return trip to Cusco. We will arrange to meet 30 minutes before your train leaves and then we will all go together to the train station. If you wish, there is an optional hike through the Huayna Picchu mountain, which takes about 45 minutes to reach the top. From here you can enjoy fantastic views of Machu Picchu and the surrounding landscape.
