First stop at the most impressive village of Chinchero to visit the Local Comunities where to learn about the ancient tecnique of Weaving.

The Inca textile art is one of the oldest textile traditions of the Andes and it became one of the most developed during the Inca apogee, due to the use of different materials and techniques (result of its hybrid culture acquired thanks to the conquests of other Andean ethnic groups). The Incas managed to produce a wide variety of clothing and items for everyday use.

The Inca textiles are characterized by their geometric or tocapus designs and by the fineness of their technique. The Incas stood out for their tapestries and their mantles of feathers, also of geometric designs. They had an extraordinary sense of symmetry, reflected in the repetition of stylized figures arranged in a highly ordered manner. For the Incas the importance of textiles was religious, social and political. They expressed their worldview, their sense of space and its divisions. textiles represented interchangeable treasures as well as taxable products that united the empire.

Obtaining thread was from Cotton: It is one of the most valuable materials of the Inca culture: in addition to effectively protecting the cold, it was used to cover the dead in their funeral trousseaux. Wool: Essential raw material for clothing, could be obtained from the llamas, which were sheared every two years, and the alpacas and vicuñas (whose wool is very fine). Each camelid could provide up to 3 kg.

Tinted and looms Prepared with yarns previously dyed with dyes -prepared from herbs and grains-, the garments were woven by various types of looms, both fixed and mobile. The most frequent was the waist, which women manipulated sitting, with the loom on the legs. Those responsible for dyeing the wool for subsequent manufacture.

Second stop will be on the shore of the Huaypo Lagoon for Birdwatching and our time for Picnic enjoying the magestic view of the agriculture fields, hign mountains and valleys.

Huaypo is one of the most beautiful lagoons of the Sacred Valley. It is located on the road that connects this place with Cusco by the route of Chinchero and very close to Maras. Its waters feed communities and nearby cultivation fields, and picnics. Huaypo is also the start of a beautiful route that leads to the pampas of Anta, Izcuchaca and Cusco.

Beautiful lagoon with crystal clear waters, Huaypo welcomes a wide variety of fish and birds (Local Trout, king Fish, Parihuana or Flamingos, local ducks, Andean Caracara, Hummingbird, and some more) around the perimeter and extension of the lagoon within its approximately 1.5km by 800m in length, fully recommended for bird watching and a great Picnic area surrounded by the great fields of agriculture use by the Local Quechuas.
