Laguna Humantay (Day Trip)

Visit: Humantay Lake, Cusco 08001 Peru

We will pick you up from your hotel within the historic centre of Cusco city between 04:20 and 04:40 in the morning. We will then start our three hours journey to Mollepata, a village located in the north west of Cusco city. Here we will stop for breakfast.

After having breakfast, we will continue our drive for about an hour to Sorayapampa from where we will start our hike to Laguna Humantay. The hike up the turquoise lagoon. The hike starts at 3871 meters and the lake is at 4236 meters. The hike is a bit steeper, but shorter. It normally takes from 45 minutes to an hour and a half to reach there. We are often the first group to reach there, hence this would give you ample of time to walk around and click photos while the other groups are still trailing towards the lake.

You will have an option of climbing up a small peak (to the left of the lake) from where you would get a panoramic view.

We will then gradually start our descend back to Sorayapamapa (the point from where we started the trek). It would take approximately 40 minutes to an hour to get back.

Once in Sorayapamapa, we will take our transport back to Mollepata village where we will stop for lunch before continuing our drive back to Cusco. You will be reaching Cusco between 05:00 PM and 06:00 PM.
