Itinerary

Day 1: CUSCO, QUISHUARANI, CUNCANI.

Pass By: Cusco 08007, Peru
On the first day, we leave Cusco very early in the direction of the Urubamba Valley to the Incan town of Calca, where we will stop to have breakfast, and one can buy some things in the traditional market such as fruit for the children that will be waiting on the route.

We will continue our ascent to the Cruzqasa pass (4150msnm) but not before visiting the community of Ancasmarca where we will have the opportunity to see the Andean Condor that this community keeps in capitivity to teach the people about the importance of this bird. Next we arrive at the community of Quishuarani (3850msnm) where we begin our new hike. We descend through a beautiful valley for some 2 or 3 hours to the Huchuy Qasa pass (4150msnms) where we can apreciate a group of lakes, as well as the snow of the Qolque cruz. From here we descend to our campsite, Cuncani. (3850msnm)

Day 2: CUNCANI/ CHULLACOCHA

On the second day, we continue climbing to the second pass of Huilloq (4100msnm. For approximately an hour and a half, we descend to the indigenous village of Huilloq (3850msnm). On this walk, as on the first day, we will see a group of lakes. We will also encounter many children looking after llamas and alpacas. In the Andes, many of which will approach tourists so they will give candies. Adult women offer different woven arts. Continuing our journey we rise to the third pass of Chaullacocha (4300msnm) from where we can appreciate our campsite, Chaullacocha (4100msnm). Here we will have the opportunity to have much more contact with the children in the area.

Day 3: CHAULLACOCHA / OLLANTAYTAMBO / MACHUPICCHU

On the third day, we visit the school of Chaullacocha to see how the children study. Then we continue climbing a little more for an hour to the last pass from where we descend until the areas called Pallqa where we will meet our transport which will take us to the town of Ollantaytambo where we will take a train to the town of Aguas Calientes. We will spend the night there in a hostal, clean with a private bath and hot water.

Day 4: MACHUPICHU / CUSCO

Pass By: Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes), Signposted from main square, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu Peru
On this day, we will leave very early to take the first bus to Machu Picchu which leaves at 5:30 so that we can be at the citadel early to see the sun rise. In this place, we will have a thorough explanation of the Inca construction, at a time where there will be the least number of people. Later, many more people from the city of Cusco will arrive. We can also secure our entry to the mountain of Waynapichu from where we can appreciate Machu Picchu from a different vantage point.

Later, we will again descend to the pueblo of Aguas Calientes to take our return train to Cusco, and then return you to your hotel. End of our services.
