Machu Picchu Day Tour from Cusco

Enjoy this special full day trip to one of the Wonders of the Modern World, Machu Picchu. Our team will pick you up early in the morning at 3:50 am., and drive you to the Ollantaytambo train station. There you will board the Expedition train at 6:10 am that will take you along the banks of the Vilcanota River to the 7th Wonder of the World. You will arrive in Aguas Calientes at 7:40 am. On the way you will see ancient villages, sacred mountains, and a vast variety of exotic plants in their natural habitat. When you arrive at Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), our team will guide you to the bus which will take you up the mountain to the Citadel of Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes 25 minutes.

Once you arrive at Machu Picchu, you will be given a 3 hour private guided tour of the site. You will visit the most important places in the complex. First you will visit the House of the Guardian. From there you can see Machu Picchu in all its splendor. You might as well take advantage of the opportunity to snap some amazing photos. You’ll continue on to the imposing Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the High Priest, the Sacred Plaza, and the Ushnu.

After your tour you will have free time to explore and take videos and still photos. These photos are sure to be treasured when you return home. Later in the afternoon you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch at Cafe Inkaterra Restaurant. At 4:22 pm you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. From there our team will take you in our private van to your hotel in Cusco.
