Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Naupa Iglesia, Ollantaytambo Peru

Begin your trek with an early-morning pick up from your accommodation in Cusco.

From Cusco, we will head to the small village of Soqma by car. This drive will take approximately 2 hrs and will pass through the Sacred Valley. The road will take us between beautifully menacing mountain ranges until the small hidden village of Soqma, at approximately 3,200 m.a.s.l. Before reaching Soqma, we will take a short detour to visit Ñaupa Huaca, a spot of sacred importance.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Perolniyoq Waterfall, Apv- Tipon-n11, Ollantaytambo Peru

Once in Soqma, we will gear up to begin hiking to our first stop, the Perolniyoc Waterfalls. This hike will take us along unshaded, narrow, zigzagging, dusty paths with steep uphill sections made of stone steps; all lasting approximately 1 hr. At the falls, you will have enough time to enjoy their magnificent 80 m of height and its surroundings, take photographs, and perhaps, maybe even take a dip.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Raqaypata, 08710, Peru

From the waterfalls, we will continue hiking up towards our lunch spot, the archaeological site of Qorimarka, located on top of the waterfalls at 3,645 m.a.s.l. This hike will also be along unshaded, narrow, zigzagging, dusty paths with steep uphill sections made of stone steps; all lasting approximately 1 hr. While hiking uphill, you will begin to see the archaeological site just perching above the waterfalls.

At the Qorimarka archaeological site, you will have short guided tour to explain its significance and existent theories of its use during the Inca times. After your short tour, we will sit down to enjoy our boxed lunch accompanied by the views of the surrounding mountain ranges.

Once finished, we will begin making our way back down to the village of Soqma along the same path, approximately 2 hrs. In Soqma, our car will be waiting for us to bring us back to Cusco.

Duration: 4 hours
