About this activity

On this one-day excursion you’ll visit Peru’s most important archaeological and cultural treasure. The day begins with a pick-up at your hotel and a private transfer to Poroy Station less than an hour from the city. An early departure means that you’ll have ample time to explore Machu Picchu.

From there your train will transport you along a scenic route to Aquas Calientes. Take in the beauty of the valleys during your journey. Now, there’s just a 30-minute bus trip to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

Explore the Inca complex with a knowledgeable guide. See the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the mausoleum and more. You’ll have free time to take photos and walk around on your own. Climb up to the Sun Gate or to Huayna Picchu (Please mention this in your reservation. Passes for this trek cost extra and sell out early).

Come back to Aguas Calientes. Visit the Plaza de Armas in town and see what handicrafts are on offer.

You´ll return to Poroy station by train, where you will get whisked back to Cusco and to your hotel.
