Rainbow Mountain Trek Full Day

ITINERARY

The walk starts between 3:45 and 04:30 in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and we will begin our tour in our tourist transport for 3 hours, on the way we will pass through several small towns like, Checacupe, Pitumarka and Chilca . The final point of transport will be in Pampachiri located at 3800 m.s.n.m. There the guide will give us an initial explanation and we will enjoy our breakfast (box lunch).

Next, we will start our 7 km ascending hike that will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, heading towards Montaña Vinicunca, also known as Cerro Colorado due to the variety of colors it has, during the trek we will have spectacular views of the imposing Ausangate It is part of the Andean mountain range.

When arriving at the mountain of Colors we can take many photos, make the traditional stone houses, ask for desires with the energy of the Apus (Andean gods), then we will begin our descending walk of return that will last 2 hours, on the way we will make a stop to enjoy our delicious lunch in Panpachiri. From this point we will return with our transport that will take us back to Cusco, the trip will take 3 hours and around 19:00 hours will end our great adventure in the Plaza de Armas of the city of Cusco.
