The 2-days Private Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour is mis-advertised as there is no visit to the Sacred Valley except for lunch at an average restaurant in Urumbamba, which is located in the Sacred Valley. There are no visits to any sites in the Sacred Valley. Day 1 starts out with a visit to Chinchero, a village known for its weaving of llama and alpaca. One is taken there to learn about the weaving process and shop. Next, you visit the salt mines (more shopping), and then you visit Moray, a sight with terraced Inca farming. You then eat lunch and drive to Odetiyambo to catch the train. I think it would be better if the Sacred Valley lunch stop was dropped altogether. On Day 2, you go to Machu Picchu in the morning and have the services of your guide for 2 hours. The guide on day 1 was not very informed and day 2 was ok but clearly wanted to leave within 2 hours. My suggestion is that you arrange your travels when in Lima or Cusco. Viator actually sub-contracted out a local travel agency, and I later learned that they were not highly rated. This tour is NOT WORTH $459. One last comment, hotel in Aguas Caliente was average. You can probably find a nicer place to stay at during your visit. We were rushed and thus I chose Viator because their tours in Europe have been outstanding. Sadly, it's not the same service in Peru.
