About this activity
Your trip begins in Cusco, Peru. After arriving to this sacred city an opening ceremony and welcoming yoga class (to help loosen up those sore traveling muscles) slows you down and grounds your mind and body, opening your awareness that you have finally arrived in South America. Early to bed this night as you are tired from traveling and have much to look forward to.
Day two begins with a morning centering meditation and wake-up yoga class. Post breakfast we take a walking tour of the city of Cusco. A delicious lunch energizes us as we depart the big city for the Eco-Yoga Farm. This private yoga retreat center is built off the grid on the banks of the upper Urubamba River. The perfect setting to be able to retreat and go inside oneself you will spend two days here. Through daily meditations, yoga asanas, and group and individual activities barriers will be broken down (both within the group and yourself) and new positive bonds will begin to form.
After your retreat at the farm you will travel up over the hill to the world-famous town of Pisac. A yoga class and delicious homemade lunch welcome us to the eastern edge of the Sacred Valley. The rest of this afternoon is yours to tour the city and markets, or go up the hill and investigate some local ruin sites. The next day we depart Pisac for Machu Picchu. Traveling by private transport to the town the Urubamba we jump on a train to take us through the scenic Urubamba River canyon; a scenic tour ending at the canyon town of Aguas Calientes. Exploring this tourist town you are sure to be in bed anticipating tomorrow's adventure to Machu Picchu.
The following day starts before dawn as you follow in the footsteps of the Inca's on the final leg of our journey to Machu Picchu. Touring this wonder of world is an experience one has have during your life. After you tour of this magical place you return via train back to the town of Urubamba for the night.
You final day together begins with private transport out of the Urubamba canyon and onto the Andean Plateau. Here you stop at a lake overlooking the Urubamba Canyon and Andes mountains for a SUP Yoga class. After class and an Andean traditional lunch you return to the city where the adventure began, Cusco. A closing ceremony that evening closes the trip and prepares you to re-enter your everyday life back home.
Feeling rejuvenated and recharged you are ready to assimilate back into your life back home with a new found sense of compassion for yourself and others in your life. Your body healed and your mind at peace you know that you are capable of anything you want and are ready to thrive.
