About this activity
Cusco (3.399m / 11,152ft) Anta, Zurite Killarumiyoq (Moon Temple) Ñaupa Iglesia (Pachar) Moray Chinchero Cusco
A day full of magic and connection with the Spiritual World. We depart from Cusco in a private car accompanied by our Guide and our Andean Shaman, for an archeological site of mayor importance: Killarumiyoq or Moon Temple. On our way, you may enjoy beautiful natural landscapes and some small villages. Our first visit will be to the Killarumiyoq or Moon Temple, a Ceremonial Centre and Spiritual dedicated to Mama Killa or the Moon Spouse of Inty Tayta (Father Sun). It has beautiful springs, agricultural terraces and a nice landscape and is located in the Cusco region, Province of Anta, District of Ancahuasi.
Before that, however, we will be part of a Spiritual Ceremony, first thanking Mother Earth and the Sacred Mountain, Apu Ausangate, and Apu Salkantay with an offering prepared by our Andean shaman, consisting of Sacred Coca Leaves, Sacred Chicha made of corn, carnation, lama fat and several grains of the region. Then, we will bury the offering under a Huaca meant for Ceremonies invoking the Sacred Mountains and the Pachamama to protect us Spiritually, followed by a spiritual meditation to connect us with the Spiritual World, to clean our soul of any negative energies, experience a moment of clarity to pursue the meaning of our life, confront our fears and insecurities, create peace, tranquility, harmony, happiness, give joy to our heart and meet our own Self.
After our visit, we will continue our trip to the Huarocondo valley to have a picnic lunch prepared by our Chef. Then, our spiritual journey continues to the beautiful Ceremonial Site of Choqe Killa (Golden Moon) known as well as Choqe Illa (Golden Talisman). Nowadays, it is better known by its modern name Ñaupa Iglesia (Ancient Church). It’s a beautiful, enigmatic and mysterious Huaca carved in a granite rock. It has a finely sculptured Chakana and a Ceremonial altar to put offerings on, an immense stone wall and a very finely sculptured, beautiful, ceremonial niche. There, our Andean shaman will make us a flowering bath with some carnation and the Kintu sacred Coca leaf to clean our body and extract bad energies, followed by the bury of the kintus under the Sacred Huaca (Rock meant for ceremonies). The carnation flowers we will throw in a small river; this river will take care of carrying them to the Sacred River, Wilka Mayu, the Urubamba River, to clean our soul. Then, we will continue our journey to the beautiful place of Moray, an agricultural laboratory (optional) offering a spectacular view of the Sacred Valley Mountains. After that, we return to the City of Cusco and if time allows, we can visit a family of weavers in Chinchero that is situated on the way back.
