One of the greatest pleasures of any visitor to Hoi An is strolling along the beautiful streets of the old town at night under the flickering lights of the many beautiful lanterns. These colorful lanterns are not only the symbol of Hoi An old town but also a part of the spirit of the Hoi An and on this tour you will go to a traditional Hoi An handicraft village to make one.

At either 8am or 2pm depending on your preference, your local guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and you will transfer to a central point from where you will take a bicycle ride to a lantern making workshop in Hoi An village.

 Here you will get a brief introduction to the history, shape, and color of the lanterns and get to choose your favorite sample of lantern. Next learn step by step with an individual craftsman how to make your lantern, and you had better pay attention, as you get to keep this lantern as a souvenir. The opportunity to buy other lanterns is available nearby. On completion of your masterpiece you will cycle back to your hotel or to Hoi An for your transfer.
