Stop At: Lake Retba, Rufisque Senegal

It is one of the most famous lake in the world because of its unique particularity, the pink color of the water. Surrounded by dunes, this large shallow lagoon is 10 times saltier than the ocean and is also renowned for its pink hue when the sun is high. The colour is due to the high concentrations of minerals in the water, and as a result is much more impressive in the dry season, when the water is low.

The visit of lake includes the visit of the village of the turtles. It is a park in the midts of the district of Sangalkam, 5 km away from Lake Rose rich in vaiety of botanical plants and turtles.
