About this activity
This Dalyan snorkelling trip will combine sun, a day at sea and snorkelling. A relaxing and fun-filled day for all the family.
We will meet at our office at 10.00 and take a short walk to our comfortable boat. Because we only take small groups there will be plenty of space on-board.
We will then travel down the river through the Dalyan Delta. Sit back and watch the scenery glide past, Dalyan promenade, the ancient Rock Tombs and into the reed beds. Keep your eyes peeled for Egrets, Marsh Harriers and Loggerhead Turtles.
Once we leave the river we will follow the rugged coastline. Our first stop will be at the caves, where we will spend an hour swimming in the crystal waters before sailing for half an hour to our lunch stop at Semizce Bay. We will moor close to the beach so even non-swimmers can enjoy the shallow warm waters. You will be able to swim for snorkelling, wade onto the beach or play frisbee with your fellow guests while our captain prepares the BBQ lunch.Chicken, meatballs and fish will be available. Vegetarian options will also be available. There will also be salads and mezes. All the food will be freshly made and there will be plenty to go around. Cold drinks will be available from the bar.
After lunch we will travel to a local shipwreck. This is situated in fairly shallow water that is very clear. You will be able to snorkel and explore the area. We will anchor near to the wreck of an old Turkish Gulet. Named ‘The Kurt’, the 40 metre ship sank 15 years ago.
The large rock that the ‘Kurt’ hit is home to many small fish, urchins, sea anemones and the larger fish that hunt here. If you are lucky you will see and swim with a Loggerhead Turtle.
Once everyone is back on-board we will begin our journey back towards Dalyan. Everyone can enjoy relaxing in the afternoon sun, chatting to new friends or snoozing on a comfortable sunbed. Homemade snacks and fruit will be available to nibble on.
Heading back into the river we will travel along the reed beds before reaching the harbour at 17.00, tired, relaxed and full of summer memories.
