When you arrive at our waterfront location in picturesque Dana Point Harbor to check in for your private charter, you'll find free parking and a warm greeting from our "Dolphin Deck" team. If you or one of your guests is celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, please let us know when reserving so that we can have a special greeting for you upon arrival. After checking in at our Dolphin Deck, (we suggest arriving about 30 minutes prior to departure), you can relax under an umbrella, and with an outstanding view of the harbor, enjoy a sandwich, snack, or beverage until it’s time to board the yacht.
The vessel, ORCA, is US Coast Guard approved to carry up to 6 passengers comfortably. ORCA features a fast cruising speed, beautiful main cabin with ample cushioned seating, two bathrooms, and a full galley. You’ll enjoy the refreshing ocean air and up-close whale watching on the bow or the covered aft deck. Or, visit with your Captain in the fully enclosed bridge. Panoramic views of the exquisite coastline are available throughout on the boat.
After we exit Dana Point Harbor, where we go is up to you. It's
your private charter! We could head offshore a few miles to see a blue whale, the largest animal on the planet. Or maybe find a pod with thousands of dolphins, all jumping and playing next to the boat. Dana Point is the World's Whale Capital! Whales are seen throughout the year, plus up to five different species of spectacular dolphins on a regular basis, including mega-pods that can number up to 10,000 dolphins. Between December and May we see migrating gray whales and in between May and October we encounter blue whales. Anytime throughout the year we also see fin whales, minke whales, and humpback whales. Once in a while we receive a special visit from orcas, pilot whales, false killer whales, and more. A naturalist will provide interesting facts about the whales and dolphins you're viewing. Your charter concludes with a delicious Triple Fudge Brownie, compliments of Mrs. Capt. Dave.
