Itinerary

Day 1: Depart from Dar es Salaam to Mahale / Gombe National Park:

Pass By: Dar Es Salaam War Cemetery, Bagamoyo Road, Dar es Salaam Tanzania
After breakfast at the Lodge, our driver will transfer you to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for a flight to Kigoma. Arriving at Kigoma Airport you will be met by our staff that will transfer you from Kigoma Airport to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel.

Dhow boat transfer (approx. 1.5 hours) to the lodge, Staff welcomes and introductions followed by lunch, Afternoon/early evening chimpanzee trekking or forest walks (if time allows). Day 2: Full Day Chimpanzee Tracking at Gombe / Mahale National Park:

Stop At: Gombe Stream National Park, Gombe National Park Tanzania
Morning breakfast, afterwards proceed for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected in the park’s boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe / Mahale Stream’s tropical forests. Vervet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs and dik dik inhabit the dense forest and a wide variety of tropical birdlife.

Day 3: Full Day Chimpanzee Tracking at Gombe / Mahale National Park:

Day 4: Fly from Gombe National Park to Dar es Salaam:

Pass By: Dar es Salaam Zoo, Dar es Salaam Tanzania
After breakfast, our guide will transfer you to Kigoma Airport where you will board a flight to Dar es Salaam where you will be met by our staff who will facilitate your transfer to Terminal 1 at JK International Airport for check in and be ready for your flight back home.
