Day 1: Dar es Salaam & Bagamoyo

Stop At: The Dar es Salaam Centre for Architectural Heritage (DARCH), Sokoine Drive Old Boma Building, Dar es Salaam Tanzania
Dar es Salaam & Zanzibar Ports of Call is a two days excursion to visit 3 towns of historic significance in Tanzania. These towns are Dar es Salaam City, Bagamoyo town and Zanzibar Island. These towns have contributed much in historic development of Tanzania from the early 10th century during the time of the Arabs and the German Colonial Government in the 18th century up to the British rule in 19th century. This itinerary is suitable for Cruise Ship travelers with stops in Dar es Salaam Port of Call and Zanzibar Island Port of Call.

A place where to start a tour will depend up on the direction of a Ship. In short Day 1 of tour' visitors will visit the Dar es Salaam City and Bagamoyo town and return back to the Ship in evening for departure to a next port of Call. Day 2, visitors will visit Zanzibar Island.

A main goal of this tour is to let the visitors explore the past, enjoy the cultural and historic sites for memories of their visit.

DAY 1,

In Dar es Salaam City visitors will visit and see: the Missionaries of Africa house, National Museum and House of Culture, the fish Market, the village museum as our main stops. Other sites like the Askari Monument, the Dar es Salaam Clock tower, the Saint Joseph Cathedral, the Azania Front Church will be pointed out by Guide while inside the Car.

In Bagamoyo historic town, visitors will visit and see: the Kaole ruins of 13th century, the Old Fort, the German BOMA, the Slave port/ German port

The Cross at the beach, the tower of the Old Church, the new church, the museum, the Baobab tree, the old Fathers House, the former slaves village.

Special requirements of this tour: (a) Visitors should be ready to get out of the car and walk around at a visited site. (b) A Guide should be informed earlier if traveling with disabilities in a group.

Day 2: Zanzibar Island tour

Stop At: Aromas of Zanzibar, Gizenga street House No 360, Zanzibar City Tanzania
DAY 2,

In Zanzibar Island, visitors will visit and see: the Palace Museum, the House of Wonders, the old fort, the Anglican church/ a former slaves market, the Shangani settlements, the Darajani Market, the Marhubi ruins and the spice farms.
