6 Days Safari to Selous - Mikumi - Udzungwa
Day 1: Pick Up, transfer to Selous Game Reserve
You will be picked up from Dar at around 06:00 hours to start trip to Selous Game reserve. When you get to the Reserve you will be checked in at your accommodation, have lunch and later on at around 15:00 hours will go for boat safari on the Rufiji river. Dinner and overnight stay at Africa Safari Camp.
Day 2: Full day game drive – Selous Game Reserve
This day will be dedicated to enjoying the wilderness of the great Selous Game reserve. You will leave early morning of this day with packed breakfast and lunch boxes to go for full day game drive covering different attractions within the reserve. Dinner and overnight stay at Africa Safari Camp.
Day 3: Transfer to Mikumi and evening game drives
Early morning of this day will leave for game drives enroute to Mikumi National Park via Kisaki village and Morogoro town. You will have lunch break in Morogoro town and then continue to the park. When you arrive you will be checked inn and refresh at your accommodation and later on go for evening and sunset game drives.
Day 4: Full day game drive – Mikumi National Park
On this day you will be taken for sunrise game drives starting from 06:30 hours till around 08:30 whereby you will have breakfast, there after continue with game drives till the end of full day game drives at around 15:30 hours. In Mikumi National Park expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos, more than 300 bird species and various plant species. After game drives you will be transferred to Udzungwa Mountains National Park..
DAY 5: Trekking in Udzungwa Mountains
The purpose of this trip is to show you the Natural habitats of Udzungwa National Park. Early morning of this day you will be picked from Twiga Hotel and drive to the entrance gate. After registering will start climbing taking the Sanje route to be able to see the 4 stage waterfalls. When you come down will be transferred to Mikumi town and taken to Tanswiss Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer back to Dar
Early in the morning of this day you will have breakfast at your hotel in Mikumi town and there after start trip back to Dar via Morogoro town.
Once in Dar you will be taken to your residency and that will be the end of your 6 days/5 nights tour with Watu Safaris.
