About this activity
Only 1.5 hours drive from Darwin on your way to or from Kakadu National Park is a wetland experience not to be missed. Corroboree Billabong is part of the Mary River Wetlands and is teaming with birdlife and also has the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the world. View these prehistoric creatures in their natural environment swimming around the billabong and relaxing on the banks as you cruise past. The birdlife here is fantastic and you will see a huge variety of species during your cruise. Learn about the wildlife on the Billabong from your knowledgeable guide who will make your cruise both interesting and informative. On this cruise you will be able to get up close to the wildlife for some great photo opportunities.
The access road to Corroboree Billabong adjoins the Arnhem highway 1 kilometer east of Corroboree Tavern. The last 10 kilometers of the road to the cruise is a well maintained unsealed road. For people who do not wish to drive on an unsealed road, there is the option to include the shuttle service from Corroboree Tavern that meets all cruises. The shuttle departs 30 minutes prior to the cruise times -- please select the cruise with shuttle option at the time of booking. The shuttle provides full commentary to and from the cruise and operates from 1st April to 30th November.
