About this activity

Visit the multicultural city of Darwin starting from Smith Street Mall on Mitchell Street, where you will find plenty of restaurants and cafes. Pass by St Mary's Cathedral and Cavanagh Street, the old China Town, and see the Chinese Temple. Continue your visit to Stokes Hill and Fort Hill Wharf, the trendy city's waterfront precinct on the harbour. You will then visit the World War II oil storage tunnel and Christ Church Cathedral.

Travel along the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory, with the Government and Parliament House. Take a break at the Bicentennial Park near the Esplanade. Near by you will find the casino and Mindil Beach, where the popular markets are held daily. Pay a visit to the Museum & Art Gallery and learn of Cyclone Tracy: this natural force changed this city and left it devasted.

You will then explore the exclusive Fannie Bay, where you will see a race track and a monument to Ross Smith, the captain who first flew from England to Australia in less than 30 days. Finish your city tour at the beautiful Darwin's Botanical Gardens and keep your eyes peeled to spot wallabies in the grasslands.
