We depart from your Datong hotel or Datong railway station or Datong airport at 8am in the morning and transferred to the Hanging Temple ,built upon crags of Hengshan Mountain, Datong, north China's Shanxi Province. The Hanging Temple, involving the Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, could date back to Northern Wei Dynasty (386-535 AD). The unique wooden structure has kept it on the cliff face for more than 1500 years, and made it survived from several earthquakes.

After lunch continue to the Yungang Grottoes in the early afternoon. A Chinese archaeologist has accidentally discovered a 1,500-year-old mini-statue hidden in a small hole in the Yungang Grottoes in north China.There will be two free large-scale performances to show the culture and the process of worshiping the Buddha in the Northern Wei Dynasty in Yungang Grottoes.

 After visiting the Yungang Grottoes for about 2-3 hours, you will be transferred back to your hotel or railway station or Old Town .
