About this activity
1st Essence Day:

You will be picked up by tour guide and driver from Shangri-la Hotel at 9am. After 20 minutes drive, Napa lake is the first stop you will visit. The whole Napa natural protection area covers an area over 31.25 square meter with an altitude over 3266 meter. The lake water covers an area over 660 square meter. Flock of Sheep, Yak groups, meadow and Tibetan village are all scenes catching your eyes. Napa lake is a seasonal lake at high altitude and also a swamp meadow, for this reason, it is the winter home for many kinds of migrating birds. You will have one hour visiting time and then take another one hour car with a distance over 30 kilometres for Nixi earthenware village. Nixi earthenware are reputed highly in aesthetes and manufacture. You will have a detail understanding on the locals how to make earthenware products. You will spent 40 minutes in Nixi village, and got to Benzilan for lunch. After one hour and 40 minutes drive, finally you will arrive Benzilan. In Tibettan words, Benzilan is the name for “beautiful sandbank”. Above Benzilan, the torrent and billow of Jinsha river is raging hard, while below Benzilan, Jinsha river is suddenly open and calm. After lunch, another 15 minutes drive, you will be taken to “the Big bend of Jinshajiang”. While Jinshajiang pass through the steep valley, a U-shaped bend is formed around Rizhui peak. Hence is the origin of one of the 40 wonders in China. After taking 20 minutes photos of this national wonders, you will continue your trip to East Bamboo Forest Temple. East Bamboo Forest Temple was built in Qing dynasty 1667, and currently there reside monks over 700, and 10 living Buddha. After half an hour visiting, two-hour drive via tunnel, you will be taken to flying temple. Flying temple was built in Ming Dynasty in year 1614 with a history over 390 years. Flying Temple is located in the mountain “zhenyi” which is famous for its firm and towering shape, and majesty figure. The mountain is heavy-populated with various type trees and purple bamboo. The hanging vines of the ancient tree planted behind flying temple are like the jade curtain hanging for enjoying time leisurely. You will enjoy the sundown of Meili snow mountain from your hotel(reside in Songtsam Meili Hotel).

2nd Essence Day:

Take a leisurely time at your hotel, altitude is 3600 meter of Songtsam Meili Hotel. Wake up early watching the sunrise of Meili Snow mountain, have breakfast at your hotel. After you will return back Shangri-la conforming with the day 1 line. You will have view on Baima snow mountain far apart on the way back. In 4 hour drive, you will be taken back to Shangri-la.
