The busy Downtown district centers on Woodward Avenue, lined with indie and chain stores. Campus Martius Park brims with food trucks, plus a man-made beach in summer and an ice rink in winter. Comerica Park is home to the Detroit Tigers baseball team, while the ornate Fox Theatre puts on concerts and musicals. Cocktail lounges, dive bars, high-end steakhouses, and low-key lunch spots are scattered throughout.

Greektown, as the name implies, is the traditional center of Detroit's Greek community. The Greektown historic district is one of the last Victorian-era commercial streetscapes in Detroit.

Detroiters call this building complex The Ren Cen. It’s the tallest building in Michigan. It's a group of seven interconnected skyscrapers which opened in 1977.

Cobo Center, formerly known as Cobo Hall, is Detroit's biggest convention center, attracting three quarters of a million people a year. It was named after Albert Cobo, who was mayor of Detroit from 1950 to 1957.

The Joe Louis Arena is a multi-purpose arena that is slated for demolition. The arena is the former home of the Detroit Red Wings Hockey team who completed their last season here in 2017.

The Grand Circus Park Station is one of the busiest stops for the People Mover. The park is in a two acre half moon shape that links the city's financial district to the theater district. It was built in 1850 as part of the city’s northward expansion.

Cadillac Center People Mover Station takes its name from Cadillac Square, which is adjacent to it. The stone building with square columns is the Skillman branch of the Detroit Public Library.

Bricktown separates the Renaissance Center from Greektown. It is home to St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, the oldest standing church in Detroit.
