Itinerary
Triund Trek is one of the most sought-after treks in Himachal Pradesh. It is not a tough nut to crack but it nevertheless gifts you the stunning views and thrills any other high altitude treks can give. The trail goes through the forest of deodar, rhododendron and oak, the fresh air here will soothe your mind and muscles while you negotiate the tough curves.
Day 1 - Mcleodganj to Triund (2875 metres / 9 KM / 4 Hours)
Report at the Base Camp Mcleodganj Bus Stand before 10:00 AM and start the trek to Triund.
It is a beautiful walk through mixed forests of deodar, oak, and rhododendron.
In the meanwhile, you can opt for an additional lunch.
Triund is situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of whole Kangra valley on one side and the Dhauladhar mountain range on the other.
Check into the camps upon arrival and have dinner.
Overnight stay in your camps.
Note: In case of heavy rainfall at Triund hill go for a day hike with a stay in Mcleodganj in camps.
Day 2 - Triund to Mcleodganj and Departure
Wake up to a mesmerizing sunrise at Triund and check out from camps after breakfast.
Start trekking back to the base camp located at Mcleodganj to end your experience of a trek to Triund.
