4x4 Desert Adventure Safari from Dubai

Begin your experience with a pickup from your central Dubai hotel. Hop your air-conditioned 4x4, and leave the skyscrapers behind as you cruise into the desert.

Drink in the starkly beautiful landscapes and hear intriguing tales about the region’s history and geology from your knowledgeable guide.

After a while, arrive at your first destination: a traditional camel farm. Get close up to the humpbacked herbivores as you hear about the different types of camel that have been used as desert transportation through the centuries. If you wish, take a short camel ride around the farm. Afterward, return to your 4x4 and head to your next stop: a region of dunes that provide the perfect terrain for sandboarding.

With pointers from your guide, learn to master 'surfing on sand’ using one of the provided sandboards. Practice slipping and steering over the sands and when you’re ready, race your companions down the slopes. If you’ve upgraded to include a 30- or 60-minute quad-biking experience, enjoy your 4-wheeler ride after the sandboard session. Listen to a safety briefing, climb aboard your rugged quad and rumble around the dunes and plains behind a guide.

Next, continue by 4x4 to a desert camp amid the sands. As the sun sinks behind the dunes, enjoy an array of desert activities. Ask for a henna tattoo on your hands or feet, watch a twirling tanoura folk dance, and as darkness falls, savor a succulent barbecue dinner.

Afterward, try a shisha (Arabic water pipe) if you wish, and watch a live belly-dancing show. Relax by the campfire as the dancers shimmy around you under a blanket of stars.

When the time comes, travel back to Dubai in your 4x4 and end your desert safari with a hotel drop-off.
