About this activity

You will be picked up, from your hotel or location, by our safari guide for an exciting fossil rock safari. After that enjoy a drive to the outskirts of Dubai.

Upon arrival at the fossil rocks region, experience a pulsating 30-45 minutes ride over the sand dunes in our 4x4 vehicle. Your excitement will be multiplied as the vehicle drive thru those steep dunes. Next activity is sandboarding - a simple sport that you can do all by yourself. Follow the instruction from your guide, stand on the wooden board provided and glide down the dunes. Also click incredible snaps of fossil and camel rocks as the light fades (if the timing is right).

Later proceed to a Bedouin-style camp, which illustrates the traditional Arabian culture. When you reach the camp, you will be received with Arabic coffee dates and sweets. Relax on the Majilis and enjoy the camp activities namely - henna painting, shisha smoking. Along with these you will be given Arabic costumes to put on. Get yourself photographed with a falcon on your hand / shoulder. And go for a camel ride in the neighbourhood.

Soon a BBQ buffet dinner will be served for you. While you are having dinner, live-watch the performances of professional Tanoura and Belly dancers at the camp stage. In the end, you will be taken back to hotel or location.

The Fossil Rock Dunes are extremely high so it is not recommended for people who get car sick
It is recommended that you do not eat in the 3 hours before your tour
Entertainment activities:- During the holy month of Ramadan (5th may - 4th June) you can watch Tanoura and Fire shows only in our desert camps as there will be some restrictions for belly Dance. Other religious holidays as per UAE law i.e. 3rd April, 10 & 31st Aug, 9th Nov etc there will not be any entertainment activities in the camps as its strictly not permitted by UAE law.
