About this activity

The tour starts and finishes in Dublin city center and travels to the South West of Ireland. It takes in the Wicklow mountains National Park, the Waterford Greenway, Killarney National Park and the Dingle peninsula as well many others off the beaten track locations and some of the country’s most breathtaking scenery on the Dingle peninsula, including Slea Head and Conor’s Pass.

Day 1
Leaving Dublin city behind the tour heads South on route to Wicklow National Park. The first stop is at Glendalough, the site of a 6th century monastery founded by St Kevin. There we begin with a hike in the Wicklow Mountains National Park. From Glendalough, the tour takes the Sally gap mountain pass right through the National park on route to Kilkenny city for the first overnight stop. Guests will have time to explore Kilkenny castle and the Medieval mile. Your guide will provide you with recommendations on entertainment and places to eat close to your accommodation in Kilkenny city.

Day 2
From Kilkenny it's on to the Viking city of Waterford. After a short stop in Waterford city we make our way to the Waterford Greenway. The tour takes in the best 25km section from Kilmacthomas to Dungarvan, where you will cycle back in time, over viaducts and through tunnels, emerging along Waterford’s copper coast in the picturesque seaside town of Dungarvan. Next it;s on to Cork for an overnight in the fishing village of Kinsale on the Wild Atlantic Way. Kinsale has garnered an international reputation for its cuisine and is a lively town with plenty of night time entertainment. Your guide will provide you with recommendations for the best on offer according to your tastes.

Day 3
Today it's on to the stunning Killarney Natioanal park, where we cycle on the purpose built cycling tracks within the Park. The park contains, Ross Castle, Muckross house, Inisfallen monastic Island, Muckross Abbey and Torc Waterfall. Walking and cycling trails abound in this stunning National park and we select the most suitable trails for the conditions and the group. From the National park, we take the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way route to Dingle town for an overnight in one of the liveliest towns in Ireland.

Day 4
We take the Conor’s pass route to Tralee. It’s time to say goodbye to the stunning southwest and take the road towards limerick and eventually Dublin.
