Pass By: Elegant Irish Tours - Day Tours, 14 Lower O'Connell Street, Dublin Dublin 1 Ireland

07:00:We depart from Dublin and begin our trek towards the south- west of Ireland through the beautiful countryside.

Stop At: King John's Castle, Nicholas Street King's Island, Limerick Ireland

Our first stop is the 13th century King John’s Castle of county Limerick. The castle itself was built by the notorious King John, brother of famous Richard the Lionheart, and is widely regarded as one of the best-preserved Norman castles in all of Europe. The castle itself was built upon an old Viking settlement and our tour will give us insight of the medieval era of Ireland ranging from the viking invaders to the Lords of Ireland. (Entrance Fee Included) Following our visit to King John’s Castle we will drive through Lisdoonvarna the home of the oldest matchmaking festival in the world and Kilfenora home of one of Ireland’s most popular traditional Céilí bands.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Wild Atlantic Way The Atlantic Coast of Ireland, Galway Ireland

Following our castle visit, we will drive along the Wild Atlantic Way which is brimming with magical views, including the Aran Islands and the surfing beaches of Fanore and Galway Bay. During our coastal drive, we will take you off the beaten track and view the famous “baby cliffs.”

These hidden treasures are a pleasure and a splendid surprise for our guests. Shorter than their big cousins, the Cliffs of Moher, these smaller cliffs offer the ideal opportunity to catch a glimpse of whales and dolphins swimming off our Atlantic Coast. In addition, our view of the baby cliffs will provide the perfect opportunity to gaze over the magical limestone landscape known as the Burren region.

Dating back over 300 million years, this rugged landscape is home to over 1,100 species of plants ranging from arctic flora to mediterranean perennials and is one of the most fascinating regions of Western Europe.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: The Burren House Farm County Clare, Ireland Ireland

For lunch we will stop at the traditional village of Doolin. This village boasts some of the best traditional Irish pubs and restaurants where you can order renowned local dishes including Doolin’s famous seafood chowder, soda bread and freshly brewed Guinness.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Cliffs of Moher, Lislorkan North Latitude: 52.9714578 Longitude: -9.4247540, Liscannor Ireland

We arrive at the world famous Cliffs of Moher, one of the world's great natural attractions where you can enjoy a relaxing walk and breathtaking views. Rising 820 feet above sea- level and standing only 100 feet shorter than the Eiffel Tower, the Cliffs offer a stunning overlook of the Galway Bay, Aran Islands, and the rugged Connemara wilderness. You will also have the chance to see many of the 30,000 bird colonies nesting along the Cliffs and explore cliffside trails. You will have plenty of time to enjoy all the Cliffs have to offer with this one hour and thirty minute stop – the perfect amount of time based upon years of guest feedback.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Thoroughly enjoyed this once in a lifetime trip to the Cliffs of Moher. They were breathtaking to view. Our guide Patrick was awesome, he was funny, informative and no nonsense. Definitely made for a great tour. Please note there is an optional boat ride to see the cliffs from the oceanside that is not included so please bring some euro's along for that. I would recommend.

He even took out a fiddle and played us some tunes, He also recognized me the next day I when I was going on another trip. Ask for him when you go. Much thanks to you Desmond. This day trip was great lots to see all packed in 1 day. I highly recommend you book this for your trip you won't be disappointed.

The tour guide was excellent, he was funny, interactive, and very knowledgeable. Gave us enough time to do everything, but stayed to a schedule, which was very much appreciated. I would recommend this tour to anyone going.

I had seen the pictures and the videos but being there live and experiencing the awe you get when in Cliffs of Moher, was something else. The nature along the way is magnificent and the tour driver (Patrick) very funny and informative. The king John's castle a good experience but nothing spectacular. The lunch was average.

Desmond was our tour guide ... the best! He played Irish-Gaelic tunes on his fiddle and sang traditional Irish songs to us. He gave us so much historical information about the places we toured and passed by on the way go our locations. He made every effort to make sure our questions were answered and that we were comfortable during the tours. Excellent tour!

My Brother-In-Law and I took this tour on 9/25/18. From beginning to end this was a fantastic day, made all the better by our driver/guide, Ro. Ro shared a wealth of information all along our journey and was always inquiring about our comfort. Our tour group had an offer to take a boat ride along the Cliffs of Moher which our group was very excited to take. The weather was variable all day but surely this trip is worth the while regardless of the weather. Stops at King John's and Bunratty Castle as well as lunch at McGann's make this trip worth taking. A long day for sure but well worth the investment. Will definitely use Paddywagon again on my next trip.Rob S.
