About this activity
Dublin Bay 15k Coastal Hike on a Sunday Morning is solo friendly and great for those who want to keep fit , make new friends and learn about Dublin . It is also a great taster if you fancy staying off the Tour Bus and keeping fit.

Join "Irish Walking " at the GPO in Dublin's O'Connell St . Walk through some of the more interesting areas of Dublin off the normal tourist trail .

Walk through Dublin Docks across the Liffey at the 02 Arena , across the East Link Bridge and past the Aviva Stadium .Pass through Ringsend, Sandymount, Booterstown, Blackrock, Monkstown to Dun Laoghaire. In Dun Laoghaire you can have a coffee at one of the many restaurants, enjoy a glass of wine " in "The Forty Foot" , walk the pier or have an ice cream in Scrumdiddlys or Teddy's.

If you need to pamper yourself , spend time in the Sunday Market have lunch at the wonderful food stalls , have a second glass of wine , visit Bloomfield's or Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre.

To earn this treat we walk roads, beach and park walking along the coast, moving at a reasonable pace but if you start to tire we can slow down There are few distractions till we stop for a coffee in Sandymount or Booterstown . You will need a reasonable level of fitness, good footwear and a sense of humour.

You can travel back to Dublin for between 3 and 5 Euros anytime you wish as trains run approx twice an hour till midnight,

You will need a reasonable level of fitness, walking boots and a sense of humour.

Don’t worry there are loads of toilets on the way . Passports are not necessary just a little patience if some are a little slow. This is not a race if you want a sweaty workout at speed forget it, stay in bed. If you are worried about the rain stay in bed as well .

It's a great way to make new friends on your Irish Holiday or practice for The Camino . Solo Travellers are especially welcome but everyone must be over 18 and reasonably fit.
