Northern Ireland Whiskey Trail

You depart Dublin on a 7:35am rail service to Belfast Central. Sit back and relax as you cruise through rolling countryside travelling from the capital of the Republic of Ireland to the capital of Northern Ireland!

Your whiskey expert Host will meet you off the train and take you along the Ards Peninsula arriving at Echlinville Distillery where there will be tea/coffee & scones waiting for you at Echlinville Manor House, before you head off on fully guided tour with two samples of their whiskey to finish. Quick transfer to Portaferrry where we catch a ferry over to Strangford. 

We make a lunch stop (not included) at St Patrick's Centre in Co. Down, the only permanent exhibition in the world about our patron saint - Patrick. We might even be lucky enough to visit his grave while we're here! 

Next we travel to Crossgar for a Gin Experience at Rademon Estate Distillery. Tour the facility with the owners and taste their hugely successful Shortcross Gin.

We continue towards the main Dublin to Belfast road arriving in the pretty village of Hillsborough, where you have a photo opportunity - Hillsborough Castle - the official residence of the Queen of England while she is in Northern Ireland. 

We fly down the motorway all the way to Slane Distillery, built only recently within in the original stable walls at Slane Castle Estate. We taste their triple casked blend, Slane Irish Whiskey. We also give you the opportunity to wander over to the castle - not to be missed!

Time for shopping of course, then sit back and relax and we'll have you back in Dublin in the early evening (approx 6pm)
