There can be no better way to spend a day in Dubrovnik than island-hopping in the turquoise Adriatic Sea. And if you’re going to cruise you might as well do it in style. Your island-hopping tour will take in three Dubrovnik beauties. The island of Koločep, or if you want to be a real local and impress the ship’s captain call in Kalamota, is the smallest of the three island on the cruise. A completely car-free island means that the pedestrian is king. Quaint cafes and restaurants, a sandy beach and charming history will give you an insight into the real Mediterranean lifestyle, you’ll spend an hour on Koločep. Sip a coffee and watch the world float past or dive in to the Adriatic.

Šipan is the largest of the whole Elaphite group of islands and offers a magnificent trip to an island jam-packed with history. With its vineyards, olive groves and summer residences the island has a vibrant and yet laid-back feel. You’ll have 45 minutes to explore Šipan.

And finally Lopud, a firm favourite with people from Dubrovnik as a weekend getaway, and you’ll have a healthy two and a half hours to explore. This island, apart from its wonderful gardens and ancient villas, has probably the best beach in the region, ask for Šunj. Again a car-free island you can explore with your whole family without a care in the world.
