Oysters and Trees: The Hidden Gems of Dubrovnik Area

After our morning pick-up in Dubrovnik and coastal drive north (1hr), we arrive to the city of Mali Ston where we will be joining our local oyster farmer on his boat, exploring the oyster farms (1-1,5hrs) and learning how they are grown, farmed and best served, fresh out of the sea, with a dash of lemon and some olive oil. Following with some free time (2-3hrs) in the city of Ston for lunch (at own expense) and walking around the world’s second longest walled fortifications and salt fields (at own expense), you will be ready to continue with our journey. Driving back to Dubrovnik, we are stopping in the small village of Trsteno in order to pay a visit to the local arboretum (1-1,5hrs), dating back to 1498., being the oldest one in the region. After our small detour, we are ready to finish our day in the Pearl of the Adriatic.
