Stop At: Old Town, Dubrovnik Croatia

Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Kolocep Island, Dubrovnik Croatia
The first stop on our Elaphite Islands tour is the southernmost inhabited island in Croatia, Koločep, locally known as Kalamota. It is the first of three large Elaphiti Islands, and the closest to Dubrovnik (0.6 miles away). Alluring pristine blue waters surround this small and tame island. “No cars and no rush” is the life motto of the local residents, as you will notice the minute we arrive. We will visit one of the Koločep’s landmarks, the Blue Cave, which can only be accessed by swimming. With complimentary use of our GoPro camera, you will have the opportunity to capture lifetime memories. Also, complimentary snorkeling equipment is at your disposal.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Lopud Island, Dubrovnik Croatia
Our next destination is island Lopud, famous for one of the best sandy beaches in the Dubrovnik area, called Šunj. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to fully experience a hot and idle summer day you have been longing for a long time! You can choose to stay on the speed boat and get some tan, have complimentary drinks and fruits, or go ashore and explore the island. If you wish, we can also make arrangements for a light lunch in one of the best restaurants on the island. “No cars and no rush” motto applies here, too.
Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Sipan, Dubrovnik Croatia
The last island we’ll visit on our private Elaphite Islands tour is Šipan, the largest and most densely populated among the Elafiti islands. Distinguished by the untouched nature, turquoise blue sea, green olive and pine trees, discreet birds chirping, … it is truly a place of serenity.
In a small seaside place Suđurađ, there are two renaissance palaces of the famous ship-owning family Skočibuha. Locals are dedicated to production of the home-made goods, such as wine, olive oil, marmalade, fruits, vegetables… So, if you wish we can organize wine and olive oil tasting. On our way back, will will make a short stop to have a swim and snorkel around the pebble beaches of the small islet called Sikirica.

We hired Luksa's boat for a day trip around the 3 islands on 5th Aug 19 and had a really lovely day. We were 2 families (4 adults, 2 teens and 2 x 11 year olds). A mini van picked us up from our respective hotels in Srbreno and Mlini at 9.30am to drive us to the harbour in Dubrovnik where Luksa was waiting on his boat. Enough room on the boat for all 8 of us even when the teens spread out to sunbathe. We went to the Blue Caves where we snorkelled, swam and even climbed the rocks which was fairly busy with other boats but not too bad as it was still quite early. Then onto the next island but actually we chose not to jump off the boat this time (near the sandy beach of Sunj) as it was nicer to sit on board and drink wine and chat and relax! Whats not to like! We then set off again and had lunch on Lopud in a lovely restaurant and watched the world and the boats go by for a while. Lovely fresh fish and lots of options for the kids as well plus some shops to browse around if you fancy it. After lunch (and more wine) we were back on the boat to the next location and swimming and snorkelling. All too soon it was time to leave and we sped across the sea back to Dubrovnik listening to some great tunes that Luksa put on with the last of the wine. Luksa had a great sense of humour and it was really lovely to chat to him. I think we all would have secretly liked to have asked him if we could extend the time and stay for a few more hours on the boat because we were having such a lovely time but no one thought to ask! Just a really lovely day out around the Islands and we would highly recommend this trip. Thanks Luksa (sorry for the delayed review!!) Lynda
